In a surprise move, CNN News Group president Jim Walton announced Tuesday
that Larry Goodman is leaving as New York-based president of sales and marketing
for Cable News Network after nearly 20 years with Turner Broadcasting System
Inc.
Goodman is being replaced by his chief lieutenant, Greg D'Alba, who is being
promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer of sales and
marketing at CNN from executive VP of sales.
D'Alba joined the news service in 1986 as an account
executive.
