TVG Network will air live, on-site coverage of the Kentucky Cup Day of Champions from Turfway Park in Florence, Ky., Saturday.
The Kentucky Cup includes five stakes races totaling $825,000 in purses: the Grade II, $350,000 Kentucky Cup Classic; the Grade III, $175,000 Turfway Breeders’ Cup; the Grade III, $100,000 Kentucky Cup Sprint; the Grade III, $100,000 Kentucky Cup Juvenile; and the $100,000 Kentucky Cup Juvenile Fillies.
All five events will serve as prep races for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, scheduled for Nov. 4 at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky.
The Gemstar-TV Guide International-owned network also announced that portions of its coverage -- including the Kentucky Cup Classic and Kentucky Cup Sprint -- will air on tape-delay on FSN New York (5 p.m.-6 p.m. EST) and Turner South (10:30 p.m.-11:30 p.m.).
