DirecTV, Starz! Go for the ‘Gold’
DirecTV Inc. and Starz Encore Group LLC are teaming up on the “Starz! Summer of Gold” upgrade campaign.
The initiative ties in with the exclusive television premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl on Starz! June 12 at 9 p.m. (EST/PST).
Eligible customers who sign up for Starz! with DirecTV during the campaign period, May 1-June 30, are able to receive a $20 Visa gift cards after two months of subscribing to the premium network.
The upgrade campaign features multifaceted marketing tactics including cross-channel, direct mail, telemarketing, Web support and a TiVo Inc. showcase.
“We are excited to join with DirecTV in this offer focused at upgrading non-Starz! subscribers,” Starz Encore senior vice president of sales and affiliate relations Bill Giorgio said in a prepared statement.
