Discovery en Español Delivers Best October Ratings Performance
Discovery en Español scored its best October to date with viewers and key demos.
Among Spanish-language cable networks, Discovery en Español, according to NHIH live + same-day data, finished second behind Univision Communications' Galavision among households, persons 2+, adults and women 18 to 49.
During primetime, the service averaged 48,000 households (up 66% from 29,000), 71,000 viewers (51% from 47,000), 47,000 adults 18 to 49 (47% from 32,000) and 17,000 women of that age (42% from 12,000), according to NHIH data.
Among the shows that performed well for Discovery en Español in their time slots: Pesadilla animal, up 50% on Fridays at 10 p.m.; Destruido en segundos, ahead 163% on Saturdays at 9 p.m.; Hora Extraordinaria, a 44% increase on Saturdays at 10 p.m.; and A Prueba de Todo, a 66% advance on Sundays at 8 p.m.
