Dish Adds Ill., Ore. Local Markets

EchoStar Communications Corp.’s Dish Network Tuesday began offering local channels via satellite in the Rockford, Ill., and Medford-Klamath Falls, Ore., areas.

The additions boost EchoStar’s list of markets where it offers local-channel service to 127.

Rockford-area Dish customers in five counties -- Boone, Lee, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago -- can now receive ABC channel 14 (WTVO), CBS channel 23 (WIFR), NBC channel 13 (WREX) and Fox channel 39 (WQRF).

And Medford-Klamath Falls-area Dish customers in six counties -- Siskiyou, Curry, Jackson, Josephine, Klamath and Lake -- can now receive ABC channel 12 (KDRV), CBS channel 10 (KTVL), NBC channel 5 (KOBI) and PBS channel 8 (KSYS).
