Dish Launches BingoTV
EchoStar Communications Corp.’s Dish Network said Thursday that it has launched exclusive network BingoTV.
Dish viewers use special 49-square game cards distributed in DISH Entertainment Magazine and DISHFlix, and they can win prizes every Wednesday night, ranging from "a new car to cookware to home-theater equipment," the direct-broadcast satellite provider said in a prepared statement.
In other Dish news, the DBS operator began offering local channels via satellite in South Bend and Elkhart, Ind., and the surrounding area Thursday.
The area encompasses Elkhart, Fulton, Kosciusko, Lagrange, Marshall, Pulaski, St. Joseph, Starke, Berrien and Cass counties.
The addition boosts EchoStar’s list of markets where it offers local-channel service to 110.
Area Dish customers can now receive CBS channel 22 (WSBT), NBC channel 16 (WNDU), Fox channel 28 (WSJV), PBS channel 34 (WNIT) and independent channel 46 (WHME).
