Disney Channel Crowned Final 2007 Ratings Winner
It’s official: Disney Channel was the No. 1-rated cable network in primetime last year, according to final Nielsen Media Research data released Thursday.
Winner Disney Channel broke a record in 2007, with its average of 2.694 million total viewers, the largest such audience ever in cable history, according to Nielsen data from the Disney-ABC Television Group. USA Network finished second with 2.679 million primetime viewers, just 15,000 behind Disney Channel.
In terms of households, Disney Channel posted a 2.2 primetime rating in 2007, with 2.012 million homes, a whisker ahead of USA. USA garnered a 2.1 rating, 15,000 behind Disney with 1.997 million households.
TNT placed third, with a 1.8 average, followed by ESPN (1.6); TBS (1.5); Lifetime and Fox News Channel (1.3 each); Hallmark Channel (1.2); and Cartoon Network, Nick at Nite and A&E (1.1).
