Disney Channels Worldwide has elevated Sean Cocchia to executive vice president, business operations, and general manager. He has been senior vice president and GM of the group since 2012.
Cocchia, a Multichannel News 40 under 40 honoree in 2013, will continue to oversee strategy and operations for Disney Channels Worldwide, as well as the franchise and brand management groups, Disney media sales and marketing and Radio Disney (where he was previously senior VP/GM).
Gary Marsh, president and chief creative officer at Disney Channels Worldwide, made the announcement Thursday (Feb. 19). Cocchia reports to Marsh.
"Sean's strategic acumen and insights have been driving forces in helping to build our business to even greater heights," Marsh said. "His deep understanding of how Disney Channels Worldwide connects to the larger Walt Disney Company has been a huge catalyst for that growth."
