Disney Rings In Holiday Ratings For `Phineas And Ferb' Special
Disney Channel's Dec. 12 premiere of Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation special drew 5.2 million viewers, the biggest audience ever for the animated series.
The special, which is based on the tween network's popular Phineas and Ferb series, beat out the previous series high of 4.4 million watchers set on Oct. 16, according to Disney. The series also drew series high among kids 6 to 11 (2.1 million) and boys 6 to 11 (939,000), said the network.
Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation's performance on The Disney Channel comes on the heels of the special's Dec. 6 record setting performance on Disney sister service Disney XD. The special drew a record 2.6 million viewers and 1.1 million kids 6 to 11 on the boys-targeted network.
