Disney XD Sets January 'Spider-Man' Series Premiere Date

Disney XD will premiere the sophomore season of its animated series Ultimate Spider-Man on Jan. 21, said network officials.

The new season of the series will debut with a two-part, one-hour episode before settling into its regular Sunday 11 a.m. timeslot, said the network.

As part of the primetime premiere, Disney XD will debut "Marvel Comics Close-Up," a series of interstitials encouraging kids to read Marvel comics available on the network’s website. The interstitials will give viewers a sneak peek at 10 Marvel Comics, featuring popular Marvel characters, including Spider-Man and the Avengers, said Disney XD officials.
