E! Entertainment Television announced Thursday that reality series The
Anna Nicole Show will return for a second season.
The reality-comedy series, starring Anna Nicole Smith, 'has been a huge
success for E!,' executive vice president of entertainment Mark Sonnenberg said
in a release.
'Viewers are captivated by Anna Nicole's surreal world,' he added. 'They are
rooting for her to turn her life around, get back into shape and revitalize her
love life. What's in store next for Anna Nicole remains to be seen.'
Anna Nicole debuted Aug. 4 to record ratings as the highest reality
premiere on basic cable with a 4.1 household rating.
To date, the series has averaged a 2.13 household rating and helped E! to its
highest-rated quarter ever among adults 18 through 34, up 20 percent versus a
year ago, and up 19 percent with adults 18 through 49.
