E! Entertainment Television will debut reality show Gastineau Girls Feb. 1.
The network will follow Lisa and Brittny Gastineau, the ex-wife and daughter of former National Football League star Mark Gastineau, “as they struggle with relationship issues faced by this glamorous mother-daughter team and embark on the search for love, romance and that elusive perfect man, all in the ultra-chic setting of New York's society scene,” the network said in a prepared statement.
E! described Lisa’s and Brittny’s relationship as “a true-to-life cross between the Gilmore Girls and the ladies of Sex and the City."
"Gastineau Girls is part of the network's new breed of programming that combines entertainment, reality and humor and is a wonderful complement to our recently announced series, Love Is in the Heir and The Entertainer," E! Networks senior vice president of programming development Lisa Berger said in a prepared statement.
“The series offers a unique blend of comedy with reality, and I think E! viewers will enjoy seeing the unconventional mother-and-daughter dynamic that Lisa and Brittny share,” she added.
