E! has put its troubled reality series Fashion Police on hiatus until September, the network said Tuesday night.
The series, which has suffered through a turbulent six months beginning with the death of its star Joan Rivers this past September and most recently the departures of co-stars Kathy Griffin and Kelly Osbourne, will return to the network in September after a "refresh" of the show.
"E!’s comedy series `Fashion Police' is going on hiatus and will return in September," said the network in a statement. "We look forward to taking this opportunity to refresh the show before the next awards season. Our talented co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski, along with Executive Producer Melissa Rivers, will continue their roles as we evolve the show into its next chapter for the legions of `Fashion Police' fans around the world."
Griffin, who filled in for the late Rivers, left the show last Thursday due to creative differences. Osbourne left the show in late February after a disagreement with show co-host Giuliana Rancic over comments Rancic made about actress Zendaya's dreadlocked hair during the network's Fashion Police Oscars special.
