EchoStar Communications Corp.’s “EchoStar X” satellite is set for launch Wednesday.
The Lockheed Martin Corp.-built bird will launch from a “Sea Launch Zenit” launch vehicle provided by Sea Launch Co. LLC, the direct-broadcast satellite company said Monday.
EchoStar X will operate from 110 degrees west and is designed for a minimum service life of 15 years, the company added.
