With its financial difficulties mounting, Extreme Championship Wrestling
abruptly canceled its scheduled March 11 pay-per-view event Friday.
The grappling group has struggled both financially and publicitywise since
last year, when TNN: The National Network, then The Nashville Network, dropped a
weekly ECW series and replaced it with programming from World Wrestling
Federation Entertainment Inc.
