'Ellen's Design Challenge' Airs on HGTV Jan. 26
Six-episode furniture competition series, Ellen’s Design Challengefeaturing Ellen DeGeneres, is set to premiere on Jan. 26 at 9 p.m. on HGTV, the network announced today.
Ellen's first on-cable series will feature six competitors who face design challenges on the clock, while expert carpenters help each complete their tasks. The winner will recevie a $100,000 cash prize, courtesy of Wayfair.com, and their work will be featured in HGTV Magazine.
The series is produced by Ellen's production company, A Very Good Production and A. Smith & Co. in association with Telepictures. Executive producers include, Ellen, Jeff Kleeman of A Very Good Production and Arthur Smith, Kent Weed and Tim Eagan of A. Smith & Co.
Television personality Jay Montepare is set to host with judges, Amanda Dameron, editor-in-chief of Dwell, and Christiane Lemieux, executive creative director of Wayfair.com.
