To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, Linda Ellerbee will premiere a Nickelodeon News special in which she and comedian/actor John Leguizamo interact with a number of Hispanic-American kids throughout the country.
Premiering Sept. 26 at 8:30 p.m. (EST/PST), Nick News with Linda Ellerbee: Mi America!: A Celebration of Hispanic Culture will feature the children sharing some of their thoughts about how Spanish language, food and music shape their everyday lives; whether they live in the barrio, the city or the suburbs; and if they speak mostly Spanish or none.
The show also delves into Hispanic-American media myths and stereotypes, such as women working as maids and youths in gangs.
