In a major executive shakeup at Playboy Enterprises Inc., longtime executive Jim English has been relieved of his duties as president of Playboy Entertainment Group.
PEI senior executive vice president James Griffiths will take over English’s administrative responsibilities, while continuing to oversee Playboy’s entertainment business.
English -- who, during his decade at Playboy, turned former premium service Playboy Channel into the multichannel pay-per-view and video-on-demand Playboy TV service -- will now serve as a senior consultant focusing on TV and online programming.
“This move will allow Jim to return to what he loves most, programming and channel creation, making full use of his experience and creative energy,” Griffiths said in a prepared statement.
