ESPN, Freeform Launch Apps for Samsung Smart TVs
Disney and ESPN Media Networks said they have hooked up with Samsung to introduce ESPN and Freeform streaming apps for the TV maker’s smart TVs.
The apps, available nationally on all 2017 Samsung smart TV models at launch, will enable pay TV subs to stream content and programming from both networks, including ESPN’s coming coverage of the Alabama-Georgia College Football Playoff National Championship and Tennessee Titans-Kansas City Chiefs NFL Wild Card game, and Freeform series such as Alone Together and The Fosters.
Those apps are also offered on web browsers, iOS and Android mobile devices and some streaming devices that get pay TV service from an affiliated MVPD.
