ESPN2 will present daily vignettes celebrating 30 memorable sports moments
that were originally televised on the network during its first decade.
Beginning on the network’s 10th anniversary -- Wednesday, Oct. 1 -- and
continuing throughout October, "The ESPN2 10th Anniversary Moments" will be
presented as 30-second highlights during select programming on the ESPN
networks, such as ESPN's SportsCenter and Baseball Tonight;
ESPN2's sports-news shows, including the new Cold Pizza (debuts Oct. 20);
ESPNews; and ESPN Classic.
Among the highlights:
• Michael Jordan's last game in Chicago;
• The first-ever pro match between Venus and Serena Williams;
• Wayne Gretzky breaking the all-time National Hockey League goal-scoring
record;
• A seven-overtime college-football game;
