ESPN's Christine Driessen Named WICT 'Woman of the Year'
Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) has issued the highest dinstinction in its annual Woman of the Year awards to Christine Driessen, executive vice president and chief financial officer of ESPN.
Driessen currently oversees worldwide financial operations for ESPN, which she joined in 1985. She was also honored a member of Multichannel's Wonder Woman Class of 2006.
In addition to naming Driessen as 2014's Woman of the Year, WICT has honored two individuals — Jeniffer Mirgoord, executive vice president of Brand Distribution for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. and Deborah Piccolo, senior vice president of Technical Operations, Residential Services for Time Warner Cable, Inc. —as Women to Watch.
The list of honorees was detailed in anticipation of the WICT Touchstones Luncheon on September 15 at the New York Marriott Marquis, where the awards will be presented as a part of WICT's Leadership Conference.
