ET’s Steines Leading AOL’s Gold Rush

Entertainment Tonight co-anchor Mark Steines signed on to host Gold Rush, the pop-culture game show debuting Sept. 13 on AOL.com (www.aol.com).

Created by Mark Burnett Productions and AOL, the unscripted seven-week show aims to combine online gaming with reality-television competition. The premise: $2 million in gold is hidden throughout the United States, and players compete for it using clues to answer pop culture-related challenges.

All clues come from AOL.com, CBS programming or popular magazines. The first three players to complete every challenge go on to compete for $100,000 in gold, with a shot at the $1 million grand prize.

As host, Steines will deliver a blow-by-blow account of the competition, as well as providing insider tips on the game.

A preview of the show, also hosted by Steines, is now available online (www.aol.com/goldrush).
