Helsinki, Finland-Sports channel Eurosport made good on a threat to pull the plug on Finnish pay TV operators that didn't agree to an increase in carriage fees.
According to some estimates, the France-based channel's distribution has fallen 50 percent to 60 percent from the 1 million homes it had prior to the breakdown of talks with the Finnish Cable Television Association.
Operators currently carrying Eurosport include Helsinki Television Ltd., Turku Kaapelitelevisio, Elisa Communications, Mariehamn Centralantennin and Piteasari Telephone.
