Ex-Susquehanna Exec Eberly Passed

Philip Eberly, 87, former Susquehanna Communications station executive, educator author, and free-lance writer, died Aug. 2, according to a spokesperson for the Library of American Broadcasting.
Eberly worked for the library in the early 1990s collecting "hundreds" of oral histories for its archives at the University of Maryland in College Park.
The library has created the Philip Eberly Memorial Oral History Fund in his honor.
Eberly held varoius sales and management posts with Susquehanna, including at its WSBA York, Pa., and was also a corporate vice president. His freelance writing included articles for The New York Times, Washington Post, and B&C.
