Washington-The Federal Communications Commission is planning to allow cable operators to acquire local-multipoint-distribution-service licenses within their cable-service territories, an FCC source said last Friday.
The FCC had banned cable-LMDS cross-ownership for three years ending June 30, and it decided to let the restriction expire.
