The City Council of Port Richey, Fla., approved a video franchise for Verizon Communications’ Verizon FiOS TV service Tuesday night.
The community of more than 3,000 became the telco’s 11th Florida franchise.
Verizon said it will offer FiOS TV to residents in the city sometime in 2007 and extend service throughout the city within three years of the initial offering, adding that the franchise does not include the city of New Port Richey.
