First Half Of 'Monk' Finale Draws Series' Most Viewers Since Feb. 2008
The penultimate installment of USA Network's long-running detective series Monk found strong viewer and demo numbers last Friday night.
Part one of the show's two-part finale averaged 5.82 million viewers on Nov. 27, according to Nielsen data. That marked the show's best performance since Feb. 22, according to USA officials and a 10% increase in viewers since the previous week's episode.
The installment, Mr. Monk and the End, Part 1, played bigger among adults 18 to 49, scoring a 33% jump with the Madison Avenue-coveted set from the prior week, and its best total with that group since Feb. 22.
Monk was also up 18% with persons 25 to 54 to 2.4 million of those watchers, the show's best average since July 18, 2008.
The series finale, in which the audience will find out who killed Adrian Monk's wife (Tony Shalhoub), is set for Dec. 4 at 9 p.m.
