Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems will build five satellites for Cablevision Systems Corp.’s Rainbow DBS unit, AP reported.
Also as part of the $740 million deal, Lockheed Martin will provide related equipment, software and training, according to AP.
The five satellites will be delivered over a period from 38-50 months after the deal closes, AP reported.
Rainbow DBS runs high-definition direct-broadcast satellite service Voom.
