Food Network Garners Daytime Emmy Award
Food Network’s Barefoot Contessa: Back To Basics was cable’s lone winner during the 42 Annual Daytime Awards ceremony Sunday night.
The series won for Outstanding Culinary Program, beating out fellow stablemates Guy’s Big Bite from Food Network and Cooking Channel’s My Grandmother’s Ravioli, as well as PBS’ Martha Bakes and The Mind of A Chef.
Overall CBS won seven Daytime Emmys during the telecast, followed by syndicated programming with five statuettes and ABC and NBC at four and two Emmys respectively.
Iconic actress Betty White was presented with the lifetime achievement award during the awards ceremony, which was aired by POP network and hosted by Tyra Banks.
