Larry Fischer, formerly the president of Time Warner Cable Media Sales, has joined Viamedia, a leading independent cable rep firm.
Fischer has been hired as the vice president and general manager of the New York Market for Viamedia. He joins the firm from his most recent job as media sales consultant for SweetSpot.tv, a role he has filled since 2007.
But he is best known from his years with Time Warner Cable, where he worked from 1988 to 2007. In his last four years there he was responsible for all ad sales operations in 32 TWC divisions around the country.
At Viamedia, he will handle the day-to-day oversight of Viamedia's three sales offices in the New York market. Lexington, KY.-based Viamedia and affiliated companies represent 3.4 million cable households across the U.S.
