Fox Networks Elevates Fang, Espinosa

Looking to bolster its affiliate position on both the broadcast and cable sides, Fox Networks has elevated Jessica Fang and David Espinosa to senior vice president positions within the company's distribution unit.

Fang is now senior vice president of distribution, national accounts, while Espinosa is serving as senior vice president of distribution, strategic analysis.

In her new role, Fang, who most recently worked as vice president of national accounts, will have oversight of daily relationships with the company's national distributors. She will also negotiate retransmission-consent compensation for the company's owned-and-operated stations.

Previously vice president of strategic analysis, Espinosa will now guide strategic analysis across all of Fox's distribution activities, involving the programmer's 44 owned-and-operated and joint venture TV networks.  He will also take an expanded leadership role regarding the strategy, negotiation, implementation and administration of affiliation and retransmission-consent agreements between Fox and all major cable, satellite and telco providers.

"With Jessica and David at the helm of some of our most critical initiatives, it's clear our interests are in good hands," said Michael Biard, president of distribution at Fox Networks. "They are two of our brightest stars, and we are delighted to recognize their significant contributions with these well-deserved promotions."

Both Fang and Espinosa report to Biard.

A twelve-year veteran at Fox, Fang joined in 2002 as manager of national accounts. She was promoted to director of national accounts and sales strategy in 2005 where she broadened her focus to include strategic plans for emerging networks, while continuing to handle all aspects of account management.  She was elevated to vice president of national accounts in 2008.

In 2006, Espinosa, a bilingual who speaks English and Spanish, started his career at Fox as director of national accounts and was promoted to vice president, distribution, strategic analysis, in 2010. Prior to joining Fox, he worked as vice president, corporate banking at Citibank (Banamex USA) and later as vice president, electronic payment orders.
