Fox News Channel is dominating its all-news-network rivals with its coverage of Israel’s war with Lebanon, averaging a 1.6 Nielsen Media Research rating in primetime for the week ended July 23.
It topped CNN, which scored a 0.9 rating; MSNBC (0.4); CNN Headline News (0.3); and CNBC (0.1).
Fox News also led the total-day period with a 1.1 average, topping CNN (0.7), MSNBC (0.3) and Headline News and CNBC (0.2 apiece).
The O’Reilly Factor on Fox News was the top show for the week, averaging a 2.1 rating. O’Reilly beat CNN’s Paula Zahn Now (0.8); Nancy Grace on Headline News (0.5); and Countdown with Keith Olbermann on MSNBC (0.5).
