FTC Extends COPPA Comment Deadline...Again
The Federal Trade Commission has given commenters a couple more days to weigh in on its enforcement of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act via its COPPA Rule. It had already extended the deadline from Oct. 23 to Monday (Dec. 9).
The new deadline is by 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 11.
That is because the federal government's Regulations.gov portal is "temporarily inaccessible."
The FTC is also allowing commenters to submit their comments by e-mail (secretary@ftc.gov). The vote to extend was 5.0.
