Fuse Adds Georgie Okell To 'Fuse News' On-Air Team
Fuse will strike a new chord for its Fuse News music show, adding British-based TV personality Georgie Okell to its lineup of on-air talent.
Okell will join the nightly music news programming beginning Jan. 6, replacing Alexa Chung who will be leaving the series after the Dec. 19 show, said network officials.
A prominent voice in the music and entertainment industry, Okell most recently hosted the UK-based Channel 4 series called Freshly Squeezed, a music-based breakfast show that featured celebrity interviews, videos and live performances.
“We are excited to welcome Georgie to the Fuse News family and have no doubt, with Georgie’s tremendous background and knowledge of music, that she is the right person to continue building on our commitment to delivering informed, credible music news,” said Audrey Gruber, executive producer, Fuse News in a statement. “We are grateful for Alexa’s many contributions throughout the launch and development of the show. We wish her the very best in her future endeavors, and hope to see her make appearances on Fuse in the future.”
