FX's Busch Coverage Revs Record Ratings
By MCN Staff
published FX shot out of the gate quickly with its initial 2002 National Association
for Stock Car Auto Racing telecast.
Live coverage of the Busch Series 300 from Las Vegas Sunday was the
general-entertainment network's highest ever with that circuit, as the race
averaged a 2.0 household rating and 1.5 million homes.
That beat FX's inaugural Busch coverage from Rockingham, N.C., Feb. 24, 2001
-- which scored a 1.8 household rating -- by 11 percent.
On the delivery front, the March 3 Busch telecast topped the 1.2 million
homes delivered during FX's final NASCAR telecast of the 2001
season.
