G4 will add interactive components to its airings of classic Star Trek episodes and game show Banzai.
The network’s Star Trek 2.0 will air Monday-Friday at 11 p.m. (EST/PST). Star Trek 2.0 will feature classic Star Trek episodes airing within an on-screen frame of dynamic information about the show, changing in real time over the course of each episode and over the course of the television season, the network said.
G4 added that its “Trek Facts” will offer little-known insider information about the series, its characters, its actors and more.
As for G4’s interactive version of Banzai, viewers will be able to use set-tops, PCs or cellular phones to play along and participate in contests featuring celebrities such as Adam Sandler, Bill Murray, Samuel L. Jackson and Alicia Keys.
Banzai, which will air weekly on Tuesday nights, debuts this Tuesday at midnight.
