EchoStar Communications Corp.’s Dish Network said Thursday that it will offer local channels via satellite in the Gainesville, Fla., area.
Gainesville-area Dish customers in four counties -- Alachua, Dixie, Gilchrist and Levy -- can now receive ABC channel 20 (WCJB), CBS channel 4 (WGFL), Fox channel 51 (WOGX) and PBS channel 5 (WUFT).
Dish now offers local channels in 153 cities and their metro areas, in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
