Game Show to Launch New Series
Game Show Network Thursday announced the August premiere of Lingo, a
new game show hosted by Greed host Chuck Woolery.
The European-originated show combines the principles of Bingo with vocabulary
knowledge, network officials said.
The show is co-produced by The Gurin Co., which produces The Weakest
Link.
'Lingo is one of the most engaging game shows I have seen, and it
provides excitement for the studio contestants, as well as the viewers at home.
You can't help but play when watching this show,' GSN senior vice president of
programming Bob Boden said in a prepared statement.
'I'm confident that Lingo will become one of the most compelling shows
of this season,' he added.
