Herb Granath, chairman emeritus of ESPN and co-chairman of Crown Media Holdings, has been elected chairman of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
The new York-based organization promotes television quality, governing all of the Emmy Award programs (sports, daytime, news and documentary) except the primetime awards, which are administered by the West Coast-based Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Granath previously was NATAS' first vice chair.
