GSN to Show Show Me the Money
GSN will show viewers the money beginning June 12, when it will begin airing former ABC primetime game show Show Me the Money, including two episodes never aired by the broadcaster.
The William Shatner-hosted show, programmed to try to replicate the primetime-game success demonstrated by NBC's Deal Or No Deal, never gained much traction either in its initial Wednesday-night or later Tuesday-night time slot. The game show was canceled with two unseen episodes yet to go. GSN will televise those episodes beginning July 24.
In the show, contestants must answer at least six trivia questions. After answering, they then pick one of 13 dancers holding scrolls. The scrolls indicate how much money the contestant wins with a right answer or loses for a wrong one. The amounts vary widely, so a contestant could go from boom to bust with just one wrong answer.
GSN acquired the show from distributor Disney-ABC Domestic Television. The show is produced by Endemol USA.
