Hallmark Channel, Larry Levinson Productions Begin Work On 'Mystery Girl' Telefilm
Hallmark Channel has begun production on telefilm Mystery Girl, which is scheduled to premiere on the network in 2011.
Mystery Girl stars Brigid Brannagh (Army Wives) and Sean Patrick Flanery (Citizen Jane).
Just out of a rocky relationship, Ben (Flanery) moves slowly with the intimidating Chloe (Christine Scott Bennett, Funny or Die) and decides to e-mail her a hello. When Ben overhears the incorrect address, he instead sends a message to Charley Anderson (Brannagh), a single, attractive mom who works at the same sports entertainment company as Chloe. Ben and Charley soon develop a great relationship online. Then, through Chloe, they become friends in-person. Ben even helps Charley's 7-year-old son with his baseball skills. Meanwhile, Chloe never quite lives up to the e-mail relationship and anonymous friendship he develops with Charley. But it isn't until Charley receives a job offer and is about to leave the state that Ben realizes who he's truly fallen for.
Mystery Girl is being produced by Larry Levinson Productions, with Levinson serving as the executive producer. Jim Wilberger and Brian Gordon are producers, while Allison Anders (Men in Trees) is directing from a script written by Gary Goldstein, Kevin Merriman & David Newman
