Hallmark Channel U.S. announced Monday that it has opened an ad-sales office
in Detroit.
Besides hiring someone to head that office, the network has added two sales
staffers in New York and one in Chicago as it approaches the upfront selling
season.
Michelle Castle has become the network's director of Detroit ad sales. In
that capacity, she will also oversee ad sales in Ohio. Castle previously was
senior account manager at The Weather Channel and Weather.com.
Elsewhere in the Midwest, Hallmark has hired Jennifer Conrick as
Chicago-based Midwest account executive. Formerly national-ad-account manager at
Great American Country, Conrick will develop and service clients in Chicago, as
well as Kansas City, St. Louis and Texas.
In New York, Hallmark has named Cindy Kelly, formerly an AOL Time Warner Inc.
account executive, as its vice president of New York sales and new media and
Cathy Hicklin, previously VP and national broadcast manager at Grey
Advertising's Mediacom Worldwide, as an account executive.
