Harrad Promoted at Time Warner Cable
Time Warner Cable has promoted Mark Harrad to senior vice president of corporate communications.
In this role, the cable-industry veteran will continue to lead the company’s corporate-communications functions and will take on a larger role in managing government relations and providing strategic analysis to the executive management team on a wide range of communications issues.
Before joining the MSO in 2002 as VP of corporate communications, Harrad served as VP of public relations at Turner Broadcasting Sales Inc.
His career -- which began in 1974 as a staff reporter for Broadcasting, now Broadcasting & Cable, a sister publication to Multichannel News -- also includes stints at Viacom Inc., the Motion Picture Association of America, Home Box Office and PBS.
“Mark’s successes in promoting business strategy and gaining Time Warner Cable recognition as a technological leader and consumer-centric company are evident in the positive coverage that has been generated,” executive VP of corporate affairs Lynn Yaeger said in a prepared statement. “His knowledge of the industry and his ability to provide sound guidance is a valuable asset to the department and the company.”
