Home Box Office announced Wednesday that the second season of Project
Greenlight launches Sunday, June 22 at 10:30 p.m. (EST).
The 13-episode documentary series will chronicle the making of independent
feature film The Battle of Shaker Heights.
Presented by HBO, Miramax and LivePlanet Inc., the series is being produced
for the network by Miramax Television, with Miramax Films releasing the feature
film theatrically.
LivePlanet cofounders Ben Affleck, Sean Bailey, Matt Damon and Chris Moore
are executive producers of both Project Greenlight and The Battle of
Shaker Heights.
Project Greenlight takes a revealing, uncensored look at the pressures on
a first-time writing and directing team as they navigate the filmmaking process,
from preproduction and casting through principal photography and
postproduction.
The documentary's first season, which launched on HBO in 2001, chronicled the
making of feature film Stolen Summer, written and directed by Pete Jones
and starring Aidan Quinn, Bonnie Hunt, Kevin Pollak and Brian
Dennehy.
