HBO, NBC Top NAMIC Vision Awards Nominations
HBO topped all cable and streaming services in garnering the most 2020 NAMIC Vision Awards nominations, the diversity organization announced Thursday.
The premium network garnered 17 nominations for NAMIC Vision Awards -- which honors programming that reflects the lives, spirit and contributions of people of color that mirrors the diverse composition of the viewing audience. -- to lead all nominees.
NBC finished second with 10 nominations, followed by BET with eight nods.
NBC’s comedy Sunnyside was the most nominated show with four, according to NAMIC. The broadcast networks fared well in generating NAMIC Vision Awards nominations, garnering at least one nomination in the major comedy and drama series categories and sweeping the Best Performance for a Drama category, according to NAMIC.
The Vision Awards winner will be announced in late April. Below are the 2020 NAMIC Vision Awards nominees:
