Home & Garden Television promoted Maddie Henri to vice president of original programming.
Henri, who joined the network in the spring of 2006, will provide seasoned leadership to the New York-based original-programming team while continuing to supervise some high-profile projects for HGTV including Carter Can with Carter Oosterhouse and Guess What You're Moving Out!.
Henri’s television experience includes a former position as VP, international reality programming for Universal International Television and Networks Group. In that role, she supervised programs in a variety of formats, including reality, talk and magazine, for the European market.
She also worked for Multimedia’s Newstalk Television, a national cable network, where she served as executive producer for programming and production and had responsibility for daily live programming, studio and field production.
As executive producer of syndicated talk show Sally Jessy Raphael, she led the show to the highest ratings in its history. And her varied background in alternative programming included a stint as executive producer of The Image Workshop, a daily lifestyle program for Lifetime Television.
