History's 'The World Wars' Draws 3.4 Million Viewers

History's The World Wars drew 3.4 million total viewers during its Memorial Day premiere, the network said Tuesday.

The six-hour documentary series also drew 1.4 million adults 25-54 and 1.3 million adults 18-49 during the first of its three-night episodes.The series examines the both World Wars through the eyes of such powerful men during the period like Roosevelt, Hitler, Mussolini and Churchill. President Obama introduced the first of the series’ three nights.

Narrated by Jeremy Renner, the series  features interviews with active political figures such as Sen. John McCain, General Colin Powell, British Prime Minister John Major and Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti.
