Home Depot Building GameDay Set
The Home Depot Inc. and ESPN announced Monday that the home-improvement
retailer will not only sponsor the network's College GameDay, but also
build the Saturday-morning program's new set.
ESPN announced Monday that the chain has signed a three-year sponsorship deal
to become presenting sponsor on the show, to be billed College GameDay Built
by The Home Depot.
The retail chain's agreement calls not only for spots in the show, but for
sponsorship of features within the program, prominent positioning of its logo on
the set and designation of a special seating area for its associates and
guests.
Moreover, ESPN will give Home Depot unspecified ad and marketing rights
within ABC's Bowl Championship Series, including the Sugar Bowl.
Home Depot also sponsors college-football and basketball games on CBS and
college football on Turner Sports.
