Hulu Rolls New UI, Live TV to New Samsung Smart TVs
Hulu said its new UI and Live TV service is now available on 2017 Samsung smart TVs, which runs the Samsung Tizen OS.
Hulu users who watch on those Samsung models will be auto-upgraded the new Hulu platform, which also allows subscribers to create up to six individual profiles, Richard Irving, Hulu’s VP of product, noted in this blog post.
In addition to Hulu’s SVOD service and live TV service, launched in beta form in May, users on the updated app for Samsung TVs can also tack-on subscriptions to Showtime, HBO, and Cinemax, and upgrade to Hulu live TV’s Enhanced Cloud DVR or unlimited screens option.
Hulu has also launched its new interface and live TV offering on Apple TV (fourth gen), Amazon Fire TV devices, Roku devices, Xbox One consoles, the Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android mobile devices, along with support for Google Chromecast.
