IFC Sets Major Affil Marketing Push
The Independent Film Channel announced Monday that it will support original
primetime series Dinner for Five with a major yearlong
affiliate-marketing campaign.
The series -- an unscripted discussion forum with several celebrities that
initially bowed last July -- will return with new segments beginning April 15 at
8 p.m.
The campaign is designed to bolster affiliates' revenue through increased
sales of digital-cable tiers and cable modems, Bravo Networks executive vice
president of affiliate sales and marketing Gregg Hill said in a prepared
statement.
IFC's support materials will include customized cross-channel promotion spots
featuring Dinner for Five host Jon Favreau.
In addition, the network will match affiliates' ad funds for a local
paid-media campaign using such media as Entertainment Weekly and
Rolling Stone magazines, spot television, cable and radio.
Comcast Cable Communications Inc. systems in Philadelphia, AT&T Broadband
in Atlanta and Charter Communications Inc. in St. Louis are among affiliates
that have already signed on for the Dinner for Five
initiative.
